The Northern California Chapter of IIBEC is thrilled to announce the establishment of the IIBEC Northern California Chapter Scholarship Endowment at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
A primary goal of our Chapter is to promote the Building Enclosure industry and advance the state of the industry. By endowing an annual scholarship at California Polytechnical State University, we are continuing to increase the exposure of developing professionals to our industry.
Recipients of the IIBEC Northern California Chapter Scholarship will be selected in accordance with University policy during the regular scholarship awarding cycle each spring/summer for the following academic year. The scholarship will be open to all eligible applicants.
This scholarship will be awarded annually to third or fourth-year students rotating between Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Architecture, and Construction Management departments. A minimum GPA of 2.5 and a demonstrated financial need are also required to qualify.
The Northern California Chapter was chartered in 2018 to provide a medium at the local level for the advancement of the objectives of IIBEC – to promote closer relations and cooperation among the professionals, contractors, manufacturers, trade associations, and societies that are engaged in or directly connected with, the building construction industry.
Our Chapter intends to expand the number of endowments to other universities that feed our region with developing professionals.
A special thanks to the members, patrons, and sponsors that promote, attend, and contribute to our technical dinner and social events that make funding philanthropic endeavors, such as this IIBEC Northern California Chapter Announces Scholarship Endowment, possible.
