DESCRIPTION:Roof Technology and Science II\nAre you ready to deepen your understanding of roofing technology and design? The Northern California Chapter of IIBEC (International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants) invites professionals and enthusiasts to a dynamic two-day course covering essential roofing systems\, concepts\, and practices. \nHighlights of the Roof Technology and Science II program include fundamentals of single-ply\, polyurethane foam\, and protected membrane (PMR) roof systems; basic concepts and terminology of metal roofing; steep roof design and installation of asphalt shingles\, tiles\, wood shakes\, and shingles; building codes; fire testing/ratings of roofing; a basic understanding of wind interaction upon roofing and typical wind ratings; principles of roof asset management\, including roof inspections\, maintenance\, and non-destructive evaluations. \nThis course provides individuals of differing backgrounds with relevant information about roofing technology and design. The chapters vary in intensity\, from basic roofing concepts to advanced specific application principles and theory. \nLearning Objectives: \n\nThe learner will analyze the principles of roof asset management\, including roof inspections\, maintenance\, and non-destructive evaluations.\nThe learner will recognize the number of fundamentals of single-ply\, polyurethane foam\, and PMR roof systems\, the number of basic concepts and terminology of metal roofing\, and the number of steep roof designs and installation: asphalt shingles\, tiles\, wood shakes\, and shingles.\nThe learner will develop a basic understanding of wind interaction upon roofing and typical wind\nratings.\n\nSign up for RTS II Today!
